Moving on to 2015, we arrive at one third of this discographic journey. Recorded in March 2015 at Moinho da Fonte Santa (Alandroal), the album “Mondays” was the first band recording of some of the 52 songs that Madalena Palmeirim composed during the year 2014, in a remarkable project [https://soundcloud.com/weekinweekout], in which I had the pleasure of participating [https://soundcloud.com/weekinweekout/you-should-know-week-11-w-nuno].
We spent some beautiful days secluded and expanded, in the company of Oriana Alves, Pedro Faro (who recorded and mixed us) and Manuel Mesquita and his family (who welcomed us with open arms; Manuel also played accordion on track 1). We crystallized six songs in time. The band: Madalena Palmeirim, on composition, vocals, auto-harp, piano, and ukulele; Manuel Dordio, on electric guitar; me, on drums and percussion; and Ana Luísa Valdeira, on violin and vocals. Mastering was done by Eduardo Vinhas at Golden Pony Studio. The graphic art was done by ilhas studio [https://ilhastudio.com/Mondays-Music-Album].
