The album “Chelonoidis Nigra” (binomial nomenclature of the "Galapagos Tortoise"), by the IKB Ensemble, was the result of a concert that took place as part of CreativeFest#9 (which is the annual celebration — in the form of improvised music concerts — of the record label Creative Sources Recordings). It was recorded at O'Culto da Ajuda (headquarters of Miso Music) by Miguel Azguime on November 25, 2015, and mixed and mastered by Carlos Santos and Ernesto Rodrigues.
The ensemble that played on this album with a Kleinian blue cover was composed of Ernesto Rodrigues on viola, Maria da Rocha on violin, Guilherme Rodrigues on cello, Miguel Mira on double bass, Maria Radich on voice, Paulo Curado on flute, Nuno Torres on alto saxophone, Bruno Parrinha on clarinets, Yaw Tembe on trumpet, Eduardo Chagas on trombone, Armando Pereira on accordion, António Chaparreiro on electric guitar, Abdul Moimême on prepared electric guitar, Carlos Santos on electronics, and me and Monsieur Trinité on percussion.
